No, hydro systems are fundamentally dependent on the nutrients being delivered with the water. Try to avoid penny pinching on the important areas of the grow room, the extra $5 - $10 you spend getting the quality nutrients could translate into extra ounces and higher THC levels at harvest.

No. No.

In dirt plants get their nutrients from the breaking down

of organic substances in the soil. As hydro has no soil,

you need to add the nutrients to the water.

Do not simply throw dirt in your resevoir.......
