The set-up

Recommended Posts

hi guys,

i'm new to forums so please bear with me and move/delete this if need be.

i've been smoking for many years now and am finding the changing of dealers too much to keep up with. in short, i'm sick of calling 14 people before someone has some answers for me.

this being the case, i would like to grow myself. Apart from the obvious erowid and personal guides out there, does anyone have a sound method and setup that i could employ to keep me in constant supply? I go through about a quarter each week and sometimes finding it is just too much struggle after the regular 9-5.

any help would be much appreciated.

Hey bongalong, you are in the rite place to learn how to start off your own lil herb garden.

As stoney said do lots of reading and when u come across something that u think will suit you ask away as we will do our very best to get u up and running in no time, even if it sounds like a dumb question still ask as it aint a dumb question if u dont know the answer.

Howdy bongalong

does anyone have a sound method and setup that i could employ to keep me in constant supply?

It's a common question but sometimes i think its best to visualise rather than theorise, so i've designed a conceptual concept system for you. It is a recycling system and fully automatic so the only thing you ever have to do is change the water every 1-2 weeks. Automatic timers take care of all the watering, the lights, and the fans.

:toke: Hmmm...you smoke about the same as me and I just set up my system and I am very happy with it so far - touch wood... :toke:

I initially made a lot of crucial mistakes when setting up systems in the past with mates - I took their advice as gospel and it wasn't. The grows were a waste of time and cash. I think the most common mistake is thinking you need a large area to grow in. For your needs you could get away with a small closet type system - then move onto something bigger when and if you feel confident.

My setup cost about $1000 so far - that's without the mother/cloning area. I spent a hell of a lot of time reading others diaries and setups to decide what I felt comfortable with, what I could afford and what result I needed to achieve. This site is fantastic for ideas and support but do look across the ocean to see what is happening internationally too. Take notes, draw diagrams and add up the running cost. Always bet on it costing more than you think...

I decided not to be cheap and buy quality items for my chamber, as well as quality seeds but I managed to afford it by buying piece by piece until I was ready to start construction - I actually have eBay withdrawal now! :toke:

I feel it is a sound investment in my future and would only be annoyed looking at something I thought could be better.

Don't be shy to ask but do your reading...you really can learn anything on the internet.

Jimbo :D :peace:
