Look what I found

Robbie, what a great story. :peace: That was a hugely fun read.

I'm paranoid as fuck with transporting stuff which to me is obviously grow gear. No boot in my car, so everything's visible. I chuck an old wooly blanket over any even remotely grow-related stuff I'm carrying just out of habit and unload after sunset.

When my old flood trays cracked, I tried to araldite them but it wouldn't stick to the sort of plastic the beggars are made out of for some odd reason. I had better luck cleaning up the crack and slathering it with silicone sealant. The trays flex a little when flooded due to weight; the silicone will give and stretch but still keep a seal.

When I had to get more life out of a tray which was starting to do a lot of UV cracking, I got an old pallet to put under it with besser blocks on the corners to keep it from flexing so much. A timber frame will mould if it gets wet, so if you can't patch all the leaks or have some mist from an air stone in a res tank below the tray, wrap the timber in some plastic. I used some leftover pandafilm. Worked ok until finances improved and I just replaced the beggars.
