130W Compact fluorescent lamps

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was hoping someone may have some knowledge of these 130w cf lamps, and if one is better than the other

I was thinking of using one for seedlings and clones

They both come in 2700k 6400k & 14000k (marine)

The Growbrite at $79-$85 , and the Spectrum $65

I am pressuming for clones and seedling the best one would be 6400k..feel free to correct me

Any thoughts on other brands appreciated too

Cheers

Well that does'nt help much does it. Pipeman, i'll tell you why i went with those big fluoros. i live 150ks from my hobby farm where i do all my handywork. i rent where i reside and my fricken landlord lives next door. :D so, i have a gutted fridge laying on its side which i raise cuttings and seedlings in. i can only get to my property once a week, for 2 days. i'd hate to leave babies for 4/5 days under a H.I.D.. I water by hand and i raise the girls in soil. so, horses for courses eh? lol

i am using 4' battons now but there not strong enough. [3 of em]. plants end up top heavy with very week stems. need more light penetration, hence the 130 watters.......thanx.....b.b. lol
