HAHa very true whats new , i was talkin to a mate the other day an he ws tellin me his mate used to get drugs from a police photgrapher the spun me out an the alot of the weed that come in from bust if dont get BURNT they take it home smoke it or sell it

There was one time I made a stupid mistake I was ripped off my nuts, I burned all the stems and stalks in the fireplace in my home when I was younger living in Tassie, I was a TOTAL IDIOT i burnt it in crowded neighourhood, 3 blocks away from the school grounds and it wasn't even windy as I didnt even bother go outside to check if it was windy or not, fuck the smoke from the stems and stalks went all over the fucking street and it was 3.15pm in the arvo and all these kids were leaving the school grounds the street stank of POT! :: and it was pretty noticeable where the smoke was coming from as the chimeny was one of the smokiest in the street ! I was freaking out and paranoid for the next 5 days keep checking out the windows expecting the cops knocking on my door, they never came (phew!) .... gee learnt my lesson the hard way, will always chuck the stems and stalks in the bin or my compost bin.

 

heheh these were crazy times when I was younger....

Hey Hog, I use my wood heater to get rid of stems etc, in the cooler months, I usually wait till one or two o'clock in the morning though, in summer I just leave them with the green waste at the tip.

I have never heard of them burning off at the mills outside Kyogle.

 

I did once see them at some roadwork there. They were doing chopper raids, and bringing out 4WDs loaded with ganja. the were filling the pantek truck with the stuff they had got and going back for more.

 

behind the truck there was a guy, I presume a copper, and he was pulling the buds off the plants and tossing them into a plastic bag. I couldn't believe it. he had a full garbage bag too. Ever seen the pics of plants they put in the Northern Star? ever time I have seen them it is around march and none of the plants have buds on them, yet they are part of a mature (that was the description in the paper) crop.

 

No wonder they aren't getting wasted when the burn the stuff off.

Roughly 2 years ago the Queensland Parliment passed a Bill, making a Law that a police officer can posess, use, trade in any drugs with the intention of finding a "deeper" level of involvment in the drug world.

 

I was in a degree at the time dealing with criminal law, and we had a detective come to lecture us about the new law.

 

When he asked for a survey of the room to be taken of who thought police needed more power, and who did not, to stay intop of the "drug problem". I was one of only 3 out of 40 that said they should not. Apparently this was consistant with all surveys done in this area when the question was put to the public.

 

The new law did away with the need for a specific warrant needing to be obtained from a judge for an officer to handle the drugs, claiming the system of needing permission and warrants slowed down the response time and subsequently reduced the amout of involment a police officer could get involved in, to pursue the "Mr. Bigs" of the drug industry. The law also did away with the need of an officer to even need permission from a superior officer, so long as he could prove his possesion or use of the drug was involved in a drug case.

 

When I raised my hand and asked the detective just what sort of quantities are we talking about here that these individual free lance cops could deal in; I was told that kind of information was not available to be released.

 

Now tell me that this isn't going to be abused. Need some extra cash to pay the morgage ths month dear? Don't worry, I'll just go confiscate a pound and flogg t off, all with the blessing of the Qld pollies. fucking grade 1 madness
