Someone told me to clean my friends very dirty bong, and I put a small amount of cleaning solution w/ bleach in it with water, shook it, rinsed it thourghly, boiled it repeatedly and then used it. No problems. However everyone i know is claiming that bleach in a bong will kill me and they refuse to use it, but I'm pretty sure that boiling water removes bleach pretty well. Anyone have a second opinion? Or a concurannce maybe..

Bleach mixes readily with water, just a good rinse under the cold tap would have gotten it all out.

Maybe have them read some google searches on sodium hyporchlorite and its uses.

 

Or rinse the billy again in front of them, using Tom's method, or straight ethanol if you can get it.

Milton tablets as used to sterilise baby bottles are just powdered bleach and you are not even supposed to rinse the bottles out before use.

Don't use bleach if it is wooden; it will absorb the bleach. I use 100% isopropyl alcohol from an electronics store or metho to clean my dry pipe. (Isopropyl slightly better but more expensive than metho.) Edited February 25, 2007 by Pa-uul

dude just use it heaps and get it all fucked up and dirty looking like a biohazardous problem and then offer them a bong and see if they accept it then. there would be more chances of death from smoking from some of the filthy dirty bongs that people use than using your bleach cleaned bong. as long as the bleach has been rinsed from it, it'll be cool.
