Veg to Flowering?

Hey...

Roughly... How much do you reckon your plants grow from vegging them to well into the flowering stage?

What I mean is, you reckon they double in size, triple etc?

Just trying to work out if I should let 'em keep on growing a little longer or turn them this weekend? I'm running out of screen, but if need be, I could set up another...

 

All the tips are starting to head straight up now. There are shitloads.

Being only my second grow, I don't really know what to expect from this lot...

that depends on the strain some can stretch double there hight some will stretch 1/3-1/4 there origional hight

 

if i was you i would be flipping them now if ya aint already when ya screen is full like yours is then its time to go to flower

These are the same plants I revegged from last Dec... The guy I got the clones off said they were Red Devil. I decided to take my time this time round and see how they go.

 

I cant tell the difference between strains by looking at them, so I cant confirm... Awesome 'up' high though, lasts forever too

 

I reckon I'll flip 'em on Friday when I got a little time to drain and shit...

Oh yes, they seemed to stretch alot before but I have no other grows or experience to compair them to, if you know what I mean?

I'm in my second grow as well, and like you, I'm not sure quite what to expect after tying the ladies down and havin a ROOMFULL of colas this time. (feels good doesn't it?)

 

Re your stretch query, 1st time round my doubled in height. I think it's gonna vary though mate, from what I understand, depending on strain, grow conditions etc..

 

Maybe measure the distance between ya plants now and the lowest point of your lighting. If that works out double or more, I think you'll be right.

 

I flicked mine over 4days ago, so the stretch has begun for me...and the pistils are startin to show already .....flick em now mate and I'll race ya to the finish line...........

Quick update...

Just finished cleaning Res etc and flicked over to 12/12 to start all the action .

I'm running Canna Flores at about 1.4 EC to start with, tap water hear is .6 EC. Next week I'll probably up it a little.

 

Only Going to run 2x400s to start with... I might add another 400 watter in a couple of weeks when the weather cools down a bit, undecided

What sort of efffects could on expect adding lights mid flower?

Would the difference be worthwhile?

 

Also, the tips growing above the screen are now about 4"+. Reckon I should pull 'em down and under one more or just leave them to do their shit from here?

That is a beautiful setup, you look like you have put a lot of effort into them. Hope they turn out well for you.

stretch is both environment and gene related

some strains keep on stretychin and stretchin for ever

for eg evs grow with mothers finest

also wat u add to the nutes can controll the stretch with products like rock flower juice and superbud etc

You're on...even though you're gonna win with a week 's headstart .

Height above the mesh has nearly doubled in height sinmce the photo on the first post on this page... 5 days .

 

Think I do need to add the extra light too- soon, note the shape of the canopy...

I reckon I might turn this thread into a grow diary and post here weekly

 

Here are pics of them day three into flower... still running low EC nutes too.

46 Days since I turned to 12/12

Well I've had bugs 'n stuff fkn with my shit...

'Lost' 3 Days due to timer shitting itself... went in there and everything was flat, wilting- like real bad

rootbound pots...

Ah... hasn't been all peachy anyways

 

Heres a few pics of nothing in particular- sorry about the lighting

The colas are about the size of a mans index finger, only a little fatter...

 

How much longer do yous reckon these have got to go before I start the final 7 day flush?

I feel I should let them go for at least another 2 weeks on nutes just to see what happens? Last time, I did it all by number of days as apposed to what the plants were looking like due to time restrictions.

 

The strain is supposed to be red devil but it didn't get anywhere near red at the end of the 8 weeks last time round.

Also, it has very little of the really hardcore skunk/pot stink- niether in the growroom nor in the baggie? It is really good smoko but... doesn't lay you on your arse(most times ), and lasts for ages too
