its your abusive tone that gets no reply .. you are comparing people to Nazis and Jews and now terrorists !! ffs

Well durdah, I know that I'm trying to get under the fuckers skin ,I've managed to get under the skin of Dillon already ,if you attack these types of shills for long enough they eventually can't help them selves . And please explain to me how fuckwits who make laws to lock up cannabis growers and users for 20+ years are not by dictionary definition an act of terrorism, look it up ,its a more correct use of the word than when its used in regards to the fictitious AlQaida terror or the fake created and executed by the western and other governments

against their own people to justify their very false and fake existance. In the end I'm happy knowing these fuckwits know what I think of them.

An emarrassment eh ! well your entitled to your opinion which will have no effect what so ever on what I do . I am sick of cunts who want to lock me up,fuck them. And if you think that the usual source that these shills resort for a reply from the "other side" eg . the Hemp embassy and Bald&stoned give a good impression to the general public, well I very much doubt it.

Sheep mentality thats really insulting and frankly quite outrageous ,there is power in numbers and because of the illegality of our culture it impossible for most to reveal themselves unless they have nothing to lose.

So Natterfrost what do you do to change the law ? or a you just a lazy user who takes but doesn't give back? Really ! what do you do for activism before you make generalizations and criticisms about others?

I'll post this here as heaven forbid torture might think I'm just being an egotist and be on the top of the splash page and besides its about this post.

I pointed out in an earlier post that I doubt that the general public would have a favourable view of cannabis activists as the public face of the movement is a very tiny group of people brave or stupid enough to put their faces to it when there are huge repercussions to being outed, the gov. can use their power against you eg the COPS and the Courts and Mr Taxman, this fear keeps most people anonymous. Michael Balderstone as we know here is an intelligent ,lovely and brave person but he looks like a wildman crazy hippy and his face is the face that represents cannabis in a positive light ! (supposedly) and they use him as of course he uses them back but he ain't no Marc Emery and this article the picture has him looking like a dill (which I don't think but thats the way it looks to me) And one article in one regional newspaper isn't much compared to Sunrise.

WHY OUR KIDS ARE TURNING OFF DOPE

21.02.2007

By AARON BERTRAM

news@northernstar.com.au

THE OLD man might be president of the Nimbin HEMP Embassy, but clean-living son Jarrah ain’t no dope.

A generational change of views on the drug is going around the Northern Rivers, reflecting a national trend unveiled by the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC).

The report, a co-operative effort between NDARC and pharmaceutical firm Pfizer Australia, found that 30 per cent of Australians under 30 felt getting stoned was not acceptable.

Since the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, the Northern Rivers has been known as a hazy, fragrant epicentre of cannabis culture. But now, even here, smoking dope ain’t so cool, with young people in the area just saying no thanks, dad.

This generational shift is nowhere more clearly illustrated than with HEMP Embassy president and dope devotee Michael Balderstone and his son Jarrah, 19.

While Michael describes marijuana as an ‘amazingly magical herb and a spiritual experience’, son Jarrah, 19, sees it as a drag, a substance which robs people of ambition, and something he’d prefer to keep well away from.

Both agree education programs on the possible negative effects of cannabis have played a major role in the downturn of the popularity of the drug.

"Five years ago, it was huge," Jarrah said. "But young people now are more aware of the harm it can cause."

The NDARC study found young people’s main concerns with the drug are its effects on mental health, as a gateway to the abuse of other drugs, the so- cial effects and, like smoking cigarettes, damage to the lungs.

Much of the mystique of marijuana was lost on Jarrah from an early age. Marijuana was always in the background when he was a youngster living on a commune in the Nimbin hills.

"I’ve seen too much of what it can do," he said. "I see kids I went to school with still using too many drugs, even dealing.

"They’ve just done nothing with their lives."

Michael agrees getting too deep into the drug scene can destroy people, but believes it is the criminalisation of what he sees as a relatively harmless pursuit which causes the problems.

"Make something illegal, and people will profit from it," he said. "Make it expensive, and people will mix it with tobacco and get hooked and make themselves sick."

Although Jarrah doesn’t enjoy the psychoactive effects of marijuana, he does like a drink, as do most of his friends.

Statistics from the North Coast Area Health Service Drug and Alcohol Service show alcohol use, along with the problems it creates, far outweighs the effects of all the illicit drugs combined.

While Michael supports the right to smoke, he’s proud of his son for making his own decisions.

"And at least I don’t have to worry about him getting arrested," Michael said.

Pro-cannabis group says shift towards amphetamines

A pro-marijuana group says a recent report on cannabis shows people are moving away from the drug and are using more amphetamines.

The Nimbin Hemp Embassy in northern New South Wales has slammed the Federal Government for claiming the latest research shows it is winning the war on drugs.

The report from the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre has revealed many young people believe cannabis is uncool and dangerous.

Hemp embassy spokesman Michael Balderstone says the Prime Minister and Assistant Health Minister Christopher Pyne have no idea of the affect of cannabis, or what people are using on the street.

"They would really know a lot about cannabis wouldn't they ... these are people that have no idea of what's going on in the street I reckon," he said.

"Pot is the easy bust. You have to smoke it, it's smelly but alcohol is legal and 'ice', powders, pills they're very hard to detect, so there are changes happening there's no doubt about it."

Gee why didn't he use a few cliches to complete the picture like "wow, man" or "I can hear colours"

Ah yes the face and the spokesperson of 21st century cannabis activism

There was another write up in the Daily Telegraph on wednesday I think where they said amphetamine used had risen while pot was becoming uncooler........

lordy no fucking wonder when kids can go to the corner store and buy drinks called Speed and V and the like wtf do you think they are going to progress to ??????????

I started on cigs and ended up progressing to weed , experimented with acid and speed like most do but I just smoke weed now and I've hardly ever been a drinker

The kids on V and Speed drinks are missing a stage and progressing straight onto ICE and XTC and we are seeing the evolution of a new drug era brought on by marketing " gurus "

I grew up watching the Thunderbirds and the Six Million Dollar Man kids these days grow up on CSI , and Missing Persons , Police Files - dare I say we are now breeding a generation of law breakers like no other.............

The rot even got to 2JJJ on tuesday when on the breakfast shift The Doctor exclaims " no wonder pot seems uncool just look at Whitney Houston and Anna Nicole ( not sure of the 2nd celeb he mentioned ) "

It was then Myf Warhurst interjected ( and thank fuck she did ) and said " hey hey Whitney Houston aint no pot smoker , marijuana is defintely not involved , let's not even go there ! " and that topic disssolved right there.

Thank you Myf or do we have to remind Jay and the Doctor of who is in the Fat Pizza movie smoking bongs ? ........ hmmm :xcited:

I like Jess he a spirited one with much energy ( tho misguided at some times some may say )

Jess contacted me once because he was worried about gettin sued by some bigtime lawyers for a reporter for a large newspaper , he seeked my advice because I get stuck into a few celebs on my site and I explained to him there is a fine line between abuse and good natured ribbing and I told him about drawing crabs to the " cause " by crossing this line - it is an art I'm sure he will eventually acquire :xcited:

I don't think its wise to post in public as Jess from Ozstoners because that implies you are some kind of spokesperson for this site - this site should elect a suitable spokesperson for these occasions if needed maybe

While not the only online community of aussies Ozstoner does represent a large part of the stoner community and COULD use it's voice if it wanted to ......

The only people who actually get their hands dirty and get face to face with the pollies are Micheal Balderstone and Co

This sites motto is Uniting Australias Cannbis Culture Online how about practising that and welcoming all aboard our rusty ship of stoner pirates arrgh

We all have different roles to play :scratchin:

Hey Mul :xcited: mate that was a really interesting insight there. I'd considered those shows to be the sort of government condoned attempt at mass control type thing. Making out cops were like super dna and evidence technology switched on. To keep the public on their toes, too scared to break the law.

:scratchin:

Sure be interesting to see your senario play out and then this thread turning out more like -

Kochy and Kennerly promote cannabis as an addiction breaker and overal crime reducer and peacemaker

:)

ps. i don't go poppin any tennis balls now days, but sometimes still make that bionic sound when lifting heavy stuff hahah :xcited:

It's not quite at the Fox News "I reject your reality and substitute my own" (wonder if Mythbusters has Trade Marked that yet?) level yet.. but sometimes you wonder.. especially when you watch all 3 commercial channels news/current affairs shows... they don't even bother repeating/copying/regurgitatin the same story on different nights most times, that's why they need the logo on the screens coz they're all reading from the same telepropter ... you'd think in a country of 20+ million people we could come up with more than 4 news worthy events a fucking day huh?? :scratchin:

Yes as soon as we breed that meth addicted super serial killer my theory will be proven :xcited:

Yes there has been a lack of newsworthy events lately

The Daily Teelgraph is fast losing my confidence with stories run all last week on the hostie who rooted a celeb on a Quantas flight

Day after day this story appeared and several pages in colour were also devoted to it :xcited:

In reality no one really gives a shit , gettin laid a mile high is nothing new , the hostie was a no-body and the celeb well I ain't heard of him before so why devote all the print to it ?

I'm still wondering :scratchin:

Also not long ago they ran pics of Today Tonite host Anna Coren at the races having a beer and without her knowledge took a sly pic up her dress and got a bit of snatch.

Tell me how is this photographer any different to the sleazy pricks who follow women around " upskirt " photograph them , the pic was taken without her knowledge in public and even worse put in the mass media !

The sleazy fuck needs a punch in the head I reckon ........

Wake up Daily Telegraph for fucks sake !!
