I haven't paid for a bag for about 10 years, since I was like 18-19.

Big bro worked at a hydro shop, got me a clone, and showed me what to do.

Never looked back since, and even when I have run out ,there's always been fellow grower friends to throw me a few buds, or slip me a bag and say gimme one back when yours is done.

Even back then, used to pay round 300.

Had a guy recently, told me he bought a bag of hydro of Silk road(from somewhere in Aus, I'm assuming S.A. or somewhere in the south, I'm in Qld) he paid $420. Nearly fell of my chair. That's big dollars for a bag. He was happy though, obviously doesn't know the right people. He was starting his own indoor grow though, so obviously doesn't want to keep paying those prices.

Unfortunately I live with 5 housemates and growing is restricted to a small closet. Just gets too hot over summer. Constantly on the search for a place to grow though.

Living with housemates always makes it risky.

More people that know ,raises the risk heaps.

Be best to leave the growing till you got your own place.

Or till laws change. Till then, Carry on. Unfortunately some people can't get quality at a decent price.

300 here, or 250 if I buy multiple ounces. Got mates that having been paying 400 an Oscar in Toowoomba for years. That price doesn't mean it's good gear either, often it's shit.

 

I would probably smoke close to an ounce a month...... so 300 a month. Growing my own offers up a significant saving.....a yech of a lot more than my veggie garden, and that is worth while.

I guess it's who you know ... It's been stagnent at $250 for the last ten years around my area of SE Qld, although I have heard of the occasional one going for $300.

 

It's been much higher though, around the mid eighties an ounce cost more than an ounce of Gold, at one time Australia wide it hit $600 an ounce while Gold was under $400. What lowered the price was an influx from of weed from Papua New GuInea.

 

Today Gold is at $1675 .......... production costs are similar.

 

Another point, it's going to cost someone much more per ounce to produce one ounce than someone who produces say 20 ounces.
