Drug Tax Stamps?!

Recommended Posts

Guest Urbanhog

Wonder if there's any "honest" dealers that will actually buy the tax stamps :D but I thought the tax rates seem bit fair and low, I mean, $3.50 tax per gram for processed cannabis or $0.40 per gram for wet plant or $0.90 per gram for a dried plant, but the problem if if you buy an ounce that means you will have to pay $98.00 tax per ounce B) But I doubt if the dealers will ever "pay" the taxes. They will still make a lot of profits even they pay these taxes's rates.

But I refuse to pay taxes if I grew my own for personal, just like people brew their own beers. :D Maybe will pay something for some bullshit "licence" to grow. If the laws will ever change.

The reason why I thought the rates were bit low, I mean look how much taxes you pay for ciggies and grog, they are way higher than that pot rates. imo.

Found the site's FAQ pretty interesting.

Yeah thats true, it will encourage people to grow their own............

But I think the "$3.50 per gram tax" is for dealers? The FAQ didnt say anything for buyers??

In the site's FAQ, said that:

Who is liable for the drug tax?

An individual is classified as a drug dealer and is liable for the payment of drug taxes if he/she manufactures, produces, ships, transports, or imports into Kansas or possesses:

[*]more than 28 grams of marijuana (processed or marijuana plants)or

[*]1 gram of controlled substance or 10 or more dosage unites of a controlled substance (K.S.A. 79-5201)

In Australia, taxes are pretty high here.......specially on grog and ciggies, and the bloodly GST.

It roughly costs $20-$25 a gram here anyway.

I already pay enough taxes on my grows, tax on power, nutrients, grow media, etc, etc, etc.

If I get busted under the current laws then I'm looking at a slap on the wrist and $50, If mj becomes legal and taxable and I don't conform then I'm looking at tax evasion charges, if I do conform I would be looking at a tax of possibly hundreds per crop, the $50 and a slap on the wrist sounds like the better deal to me.

well i'll be, B)

just maybe's with a bit of tweeking and a little give and take from all concerned this could be turned into reality, and yes i knows it's another bloody tax, but i would sacrifice a little bit more if i had to.

Maybe will pay something for some bullshit "licence" to grow. If the laws will ever change.

Sorry tom we all can't live in tas. :D

Initially the ban on marijuana (started in America of course) was made by creating a tax on grass. Anyone could apply for tax stamps to posses grass (the bill suggested), and each stamp was to be sold at the price of 1 dollar.

Of course, they simply restricted selling the tax stamps and you effectively have created prohibition.

There's a huge amount of reading on the marijuana tax stamp act on the net if anyone's interested. I just thought I'd mention it to show how gutless they were. They couldn't just come out and say you can't have it anymore, they had to play a game. typical.

Don't know, I noticed your post in another forum you signed in as you, here it says you're an imposter, Oz will sort it though.

BTW, I have just finished all those medical tests I told you about,

Hope the results came back good.

Hey Tom, yeah i noticed the same thing about the other post accepting me as a member. Sad day I come home, and the site doesn't recognise me sob sob lol.

Not to worry, without these little things, ozstoner would get bored wouldn't he ?:P.

The test results are going to be a couple weeks before I get them, I'm nervous as you'd imagine, but if they clear me, that's one big thing I needn't stress over anymore. And what with all the sicknes, swelling and pain I have so much of, it'll be good to hear it isn't cancer. You know what I mean for sure.

Anyways mate, i'll catch u in the funny pages, shouldn't disrupt the thread, sorry all.

cheers

ps, u got a pic of that last indoor crop of sativa? I wouldn't have spent too many days were it hadn't crossed my mind.
