Help - Information Overload for Newbie

Hello All, I've been reading many topics especially in regasrds to harvesting, manicuring, drying. Basically I started out with 14 seedlings (all outdoor) & have cut it down to 2 plants. My best plant was raided by persons unknown in the middle of the night & took out the centre but its regained good growth. A couple of quick questions please

- Can the 1 plant be grown over a period of years, ie not to harvest but to occasionally pick buds off when needed?.

- Would a cold frosty area kill a mature shrub?

- Is it normal for most of the branches to have LOTS of flowery bud like features or is it stressed (pls see pics)

Ive attached some pics & any help on when I should pick these heads would be appreciated.

Thanks

Heya madA  .. outdoors plants have a life cycle of about 6-8months, the length of summer...

frost will slowly kill a plant

its normal for most of the branches to have LOTS of flowery bud like features

harvest can start about 8 weeks after you see the 1st sign of flowers on the plant :helpsmilie:

good luck, an give us some more complete photos if ya can

Thanks for that because I wondered how long I had to wait if I had to harvest the lot. Is there a preferred choice of fertiliser that enhances the bud ? . Im currently using dynamic lifter pellets but many years ago when I did this I used Banana Special & that worked pretty well.

Pity about the plant only living 6-8 months, I dont suppose keeping the frost off it would help?
