Where to start(Beginer)

Hey all. I really want to be able to sustain my personal smoko with stuff that i have grown myself. Just need some on where to start. I want something that want cost to much and is pretty easy to do . Is there a simple way to do it. Thanks in advance for any help .

Heya frizz .. (we are not related) ... yea 1st time growing you may trip up , although it usually finishes up ok .. after that its as easy as shitting in bed and kicking it out

 

if you plan the grow out and get all the materials together and are prepared to be Mother Nature for the plant's life cycle, it should all be good

Thanks for that just wondering what is better waiting to grow outdoor any idea on time frame from seed to buds . Is indoor complicated im not very good at anything to technical.

Hi frizzlez.

 

How much do you need to grow and how often, are things to think about.

 

You can get a heap thro outdoors, in a fair amount of time, with a fair amount of risk depending.

 

But indoors you can set up something small, say 400w and keep a continual reasonable supply comin thro.

 

Choose a medium, perhaps something you have worked with before.

Im only a very moderate smoker after a long absence of the herb(Younger got in with wrong crowd all i did was smoke cones all day everyday and got no where) Now i like to have a few quite cones at night after kids are in bed and such. Atm only smoke 3 grams a fortnight if that. So dont need a huge supply. Just enough to avoid the associated crap of finding weed and the places i have to go to score.

Out doors takes longer than in doors, growing out side all u have to worry about is the plant has all the sun it can get and dont let it dry out, from one good size out side plant u could get enough to last u a long time if you are only a lite smoker.

 

There is a little bit more to indoors but it can be easy if u keep it simple, and u can get enough off 1 plant to keep a lite smoker going for a long time.

 

With out side growing the days are starting to get shorter and plants will be starting to turn to bud, and an out side plant can take any were from 6 to 9 months to mature.

 

In doors you can get a full cycle out of a plant in 4 months even shorter time if using clones, so there are be a few things to weight up on witch way u want to go, have a good read through the froum and if u see some thing u think u would like to have ago at just ask away and we will do our best to put on the rite parth...

Thanks man. Im thinking doing the outdoor way as have enough space to hide them . Im in border area down south. Is the grow season from after august?. To late to do now?.

Well, if you want a REALLY cheap, yet still effective indoor grow (for one LSTed plant), go to the austrialian (forgive me if I spelled your country wrong) equivilent of wal mart (or wal mart if they've polluted your wonderful country) and get 2 three packs of 26 watt CFLs (Compact Flourecents). then get 2 basic lamp sockets and the wires with the plugs, and 4 Y-splitters that take your one light bulb socket, and turn it into 2.

 

once youve got all this, attach the wires to the lamp socket using the diagram on the back of the box.

 

Then screw one Y splitter into another to make 3 sockets, and screw that into your wired light socket.

 

Now screw in the bulbs and voila! 150 watts of light with no excess heat.

 

All these parts alone should only run you about $25US, add that to soil, nutrients, and a large pot, and youve got weed in 3-4 months for about $40US (plus the seeds) not a bad deal IMO.

$500 got me started but failed with rock wool hydro..

 

years later another $500 got me well and trully rolling.

 

2x 600wt lights = $540

8x pots= $60 but could use cheeper pots

2x bags of coco $60

1lt a/b nute

1lt rhizotonic or root booster (canna or other brand)

1x 3000lph fish pump $100

winter growing may need a fish tank heater $25

decent air pump $20 to $100

100lt resivor

 

Not needed but would be a good help ec and PH meters

 

Now youll need a room alli tube works well at $10 per meter roughly $200 for a 1x2x 2m room.

 

Now all you have to do is work out how to best use all this equipment.

 

 

This set up here my local grow shop sells for $1500 - the pumps, meters, pots, coco and nutes but comes with a baby carbon filter.
