Am I obsessed with Hydro?

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I've been doing a bit of thinking and I've come to the conclusion I'm obsessed with growing plants in hydro. I'm not just talking about our favorite Ganja weed, but any plants. I've been intersted in gardening for year and used to work in a retail Nursery and do landscaping etc..... so it's not like plants generally are the prob, it's hydro.

I'll give you an example. Just last week I deciuded I'd like to have a outdoor greenhouse to grow my own veggies over winter. Went to Bunnings and picked up a cheap one (~ 2m x 2.5m x 2.5m). Once I had it I couldn't even think of planting them in soil, it was straight to the hydro shop. Another $500 later and I've now got 2 bubblers set up in my greenhouse, one growing Tomato's, the other strawberries. These were cuts taken from outside plants and rooted under flo's with my Mum's in the shed.

Does this qualify as an obsession??

Cheers

Thanks all, it's good to know I'm not alone. I thought I was going a bit peculiar to tell you the truth.

Any of you find yourselves thinking of way to improve your grow when you're at work???? When I see the plumbing or light fittings at work I find myself thinking about how I could use it in a grow situation (eg pumps, checking the HID lights to find the MH or HPS ones , the list goes on. ????

Are you all telling me this is completely normal (or at least OK???)

cheers

:)

hehehe , Do you think you might have developed a dependance Pacaman?

Like ..

Do you neglect your work , family and friends because of growing?

Do you get irritable when not growing?

Do you start growing before 10 in the morning?

etc etc etc. ...

Frazzle is right in saying that there is , as of yet , no known cure for obsessive hydro syndrome ..

Altho they Are trialing large private backyard therapy sessions with large growing Cannabis Sativas .. early evidence suggests that this just expands the individuals syndrome to an obsessive Indoor/Outdoor complex .. only accelarating the possibility of early-onset Complete gardening-Dementure lol

Personally , I am also somewhat obsessive/compulsive .. but thankfully this is mostly negated by my Drunken Stoned laziness complex

Best of luck and I Hope that helps :)

hey Pacaman.. what an awesome thread.. :)

Frazz...you started off some classic funny shit ...and it has just continued from there..

I tend to get these compulsive signs very early in the morning, and they continue throughout the day.. lol and most days continue until I hit the sack..

The guy at the hydro shop smiles like fuck when i walk in the door... New globes..new nutes..some PK and couple of dozen rockwool cubes and a few bits and pieces and a few hundred or so has slipped through your fingers again..but I love it.. :)

I must admit though. I really do grow more, and enjoy more, growing outside..

I have searched the net extensively for a cure , but at this stage I am yet to find one.. :)

From what I can understand Pacaman, your symptions are quite normal . so I would suggest you carry on as is.. lol

Budman.. :) I can relate to all 3 of the items you mentioned..does being pissed and stoned also before 10 am qualify. :)

Heres a few pics I took today.. It partly shows my obsession..

I said to the Mrs..we really need to cut the numbers down a tad, as I have more than I can possibly smoke..so this was todays outcome..
