Is GH Dry Ph for hydroponics or just soil?

General Hydroponics have a DRY PH up and PH down in 1.5 lbs. containers!

 

Can you use these with hydroponics?

or

Can you only use these with soil?

 

Books say hydroponics should use only liquids!!

Acids are acids, be they in Liquid or powder, same goes for bases. Liquids are usually used in Hydro because of ease of mixing. This need not be a problem if you mix a small batch of you pH up and down (seperate of course) into a liquid stock solution. You can then use liquid.

Hey mate, personally I would only ever use liquids in hydroponics. Just because of things like air stones and water pumps getting clogged up.

 

It's never happened to me, but I don't want it to happen either, so I always buy liquids.

maybe in a stocking in the res but would they have a measurable increase as they dilute? are hey fast diluting?

id just make up a 2 litre container

that way its mixed and on stand by for any ph probs

shouldnt make a differance being powder..

just be sure to mix it seperately and only add lil bits at a time

that way u hopefully wont need to correct it with the other solution

i use the nulife stuff, and just mix like 2ml to 2ltr of water
