Mini-choppers to fight crime

I don"t know how to quote, but in the article it states that it cost $4000/hr to run a chopper. THAT'S UTTER BULLSHIT!!!!. I've hired one and it's $400/hr.

I highly doubt they'd be able to identify one or two singular plants, I'd say this technology would be sued for identifying actual crops, I mean surely the picture resolution couldn't be that good?

It only needs to be used as evidence to get a warrant to search the place. The reasons for a warrant execution would not come out in court, I imagine.

Funny thing is that if you dont care about too many laws, setting up a remote control computer operated plane with night vision isnt hard at all. The issue with laws is most likely you would have to set up a high power transmitter and receiver somewhere and most likely the power it gives will have to be substantually higher then your aloud, also this depends on range. What id like to see is someone do this and equip the plane with mini heats seeking missiles......... god id love to see posts of dogfights against uav's hahah rofl

A piece of string attached to a thinner piece of string hanging off another RC copter is all you need, dangle the string in the rotor and it fouls, the thinner string snaps and your copter lives to dangle more string while the other copter with the string in its rotor dies a horrible death.
