Someone said that show Weeds just confirms for them how much they don't like american culture, or something like that, sorry for the misquote....

 

The thing to remember (and I lived in california for 6 years) is that Weeds is about as representative of American or california culture as Neighbours and Home and Away is of Australian culture.

I am watching Weeds as it is broadcast instead of downloading it, so I just saw the episode where she finds out she is fucking the DEA guy. That was pretty funny. I also really like that they are going into business for themselves now, although personally I feel she has way too many people involved. Someone is going to have a loose tongue and that will be her downfall.

 

Speaking of which, something that really does not make sence to me in the show is that after her husband died and she became poor and had to turn to selling weed to pay the bills, why didnt she get rid of the maid ? That has to be a lot of extra money right there, plus the maid is going to be the weakest link in her operation, as we already saw when the maid found out she started black mailing her.

 

Btw, if she is gonna be having sex with anyone in the show, she should be doing the black guy that was her supplier and now her grower, he's been doing everything for her, even beating up the guy that jacked her and he looks alot better and is a lot cooler than that DEA dude.

sorry to burst your bubble.. but the show is ENTERTAINMENT and yes american culture generally sux.. as i would say- WHAT CULTURE.. burn fuel burn money and pretend your the worlds L.E (law enforcement)

 

nothing against induvidual americans that are not part of that sterotype.. and i understand this is ment to be a representation of california ( a seperate non american state till spanish-american wars and also the current worlds 7/8th largest economy)

 

I watch this show.. its ok, i like some of the referances and how it fills in a couple of blank spaces in my non productive over smoked time.

 

As for gettin involved and taking in the drama to an extent that i analyse and personal relate to them.. NO WAY..

 

thats just my opinion didnt mean to offend any body who thinks an american show that legally titles it self after a falsly illegalised (if thats a word) drug is like watching the NEW AGE 2000 Bible KUSH

when selling dope as a "get rich quick scheme" is embraced whole heartedly instead of exploited to use a venue to make a good profit. Thats when we say we conform to the Outregous Tax Act from the US that has underlined the indian hemp plant as something that should be extracted from nature and isolated from use by humans..

 

The show is good entertainment.. the show is not good because it is named Weeds

Home and away yep australian culture. i lived and worked in palm beach for a while where they film H+A alot different in real life . Nice place to live great beach but fark the people on the street think there in LA or hollywood.

as for weeds i still havnt got around to watching it always out when its on telly so i downloaded series one and two but havnt found time to watch beond the first episode...
