Six weeks into flowering, and I noted male flowers growing in the heads. What the hell is that???

Seeds have started forming of all my plants - I could cry

Is there any point in picking the male flowers out? Started giving my girls a PK fert a few weeks ago , could this have done this somehow???????????

you have a hermi it is a traite that is found eighter in the genetics of a plant or it can be caused by stress like light leaks

 

and as for what to do now well if the seeds are already forming in there and the pods are open then the damage is done and there isn't much you can do about it now , I would just hurry allong the process a little and start flushing , the less time the seeds have to develop the less energy that will be sucked away from thc production

ok stop flapping,yes I know,hermie traits freak out a newb for sure.Yes,pick the male flowers off,but its easy if you love your girls isn' it? A flower here a flower there.

 

 

Pick off male flowers and monitor closely,the pollination that has occured has occured,spilt milk barn door an orl that dont worry just carry on as you are till your girls finish,ok?

Dr Rockster --I am a newbe to growing under lights, usually grow outside, but got ripped off early this year so had to move indoors- been smokin for over 30yrs.

 

I did flush should I continue to do so, if so for how long. The plants seem to have stopped growing.

light leak is when you dont have a sealed room, ie. if you have the lights off during the day but in your grow room light can still get in, thats a major cause of hermies

 

imo you should flush for a minimum of a week, 2-3 is much better, but considering your plants have gone hermie, i would give them a week and then pull the sexually challenged bitches

g'day; the thing ya need to worry about light leaks is......getting busted!

since when did the moon and stars send an outdoor plant hermie?

the idea is to stop light from showing outside of growroom so no-one knows ya growing! a couple of pin-holes of light while in darkness should not affect the flowering process......the keyhole in my closet has not slowed down the flower cycle or caused hermies.

Thanks for that - no light leak - these plants have been mutant from the start - flat stems , I knew one was a hermi weeks ago, I thought I got all the male flowers off it - but now the others have made their own male flowers in the middle of heads -

I will keep flushing them , I assume it makes no difference that they are in soil - not hydro.

although you are right sols about letting light out gettin ya busted it is also a problem letting light in as this can send ya plant hermi and can also keep ya plants veging obviosly you would need a fair bit of light to do that though
