Hi all,

this is my first post but ive been researching here for a while now this place is awsome for finding info

hence the reason i'm posting here! :applause:

OK ive got 4 plants about a week apart in Bonds premium potting mix with about 30% perlite in 15ltr pots on an airated recirculating drip system that feeds once per "day" seasol, powerfeed and thrive now on full strenth, All of this is 550mm under a twin wing 600w HPS. Now my problem is the serrations on the leaves of my best plant (2weeks old now) are curling up but the leaf shape is good color is excellent deep green and the tips of the serrations are also quite hard and sharp but again with no signs of cerosis necrosis or genral discoloration??, its on to its 4th set of serrated main leaves with a few sets in just coming out in between the main branches.

is this a trait of any strain (bag seed if you hadn't already guessed!)

cheers.

you are over fertalizing that something shocking. flush with plain water and id cut out the thrive i have so many prob with it, just keep ya seasol and powerfeed but id do half strength. but for a week just plain water for now.

sings of over fert are curling crispy leafs that are very dark green before curling up.

that sounds like the plants is transpiring more water than the roots can take up causing the leaf to roll over sort of into a half tube if this is the case what are your room temps and humidity? i could be totally out but a pic shoudl get things sorted :applause: welcome to OSA buddy :applause:

cant feed a steak to baby mate , water for the 1st 2 weeks

4-6 weeks youll see some explosive growth , then feed but only ½ what the bottle say's..

hope that helps

i just burnt some seedlings myself :applause:

I dont think its over fertilizing as such... other wise the tips of each finger will be browned .. I think its more just a build up of salts in the medium... which inturns leads to over fertilizing... PH issues and an all out nute lock... could also be what gaz has mentioned too... plants will do that when the heat is too much and theres not enough water too...

first things first... give a good flush like torana has said...check the run off for PH and TDS... also check your temps as gaz has mentioned... also If you're feeding everyday then its a good idea to feed once a week at least with just clean water... make sure theres plenty of run off... to unsure youve leached the soil of any built up salts.... this will also refresh the plant.. ready for the following week of nutes...

sorry it took me a while to get a pic up at the moment I've only got a mobile and a pda to do this post ,

Anyhow since then I've found my soil is at 7.0 and my temps at the tip of the canopy range from 22.c to 24.c with a humidity range of 65 to 70% and after flushing and a further fresh water (ph 6.0) feed and still serrations are up the lower leaves have a bit of burn from touching soil when I overwatered in her younger days

good luck slamin and not trying to hijack this thread but with what your saying gaz, this overtranspiration would also be promoted by too strong a fan blowing over small seedlings no? i ask cause i think less fan is correcting this prob in a few of mine indoor, i've never seen an outdoor leaf curve on the long axis so was wondering.
