Advice for Flood and Drain

Hey all

 

I am having different oppinions about the whole growing game, but i think i've found my perfect match because it's cheap and pretty simple for a first time grower... it's that hydro thing by robbieganjaseed ( http://www.ozstoners.com/420Australia/InvB...ct=ST&f=9&t=298 ) and so far, i think it's perfect, but i was thinking of growing it with a flood and drain system(unless someone can advise me better), but this is my only problem. I was looking on this site about it, but it didn't give too much specific info that i was hoping some of you peepil could give me. I'm planning on doing it for my first grow, so i'll probably be using bagseed. How much water/nutes would this system using the bagseed need a day? Do i need a filter for the water that goes through the plants?
