Did anyone hear the triple j hack interview shortly after this stupid raid with Kate o toole asking some decent questions to the female police chief in QLD (forget her name) ?

 

Kate was asking things like ; "So how many dealers did you guys get? How many users? How much did the opperation cost? How many cops, how many dogs.

Do you realise some people will just eat all their drugs as soon as they see the dogs and police?"

 

And the replies really stunned me, she was basically saying she (the QLD police chief) didnt know the amount of dealers to users that were detected (didnt have the stats then she rekoned) but she kept saying it was a huge success. But the answer she gave regarding the idea of users downing all their drugs at once was pretty scary to me anyway she kept saying that 'these drugs are illegal and shouldnt be consumed'.

And kate from jjj would say that people will take drugs anyway and this kind of opperation only scares people into taking all their drugs at once, to which the qld police chief would say well they shouldnt be taking drugs, and back and forth it went like that. Not a concern at all for any of the people out to have a good night. Infact i felt disgusted with her comments, she seemed so cold and heartless. Fucked up so many peoples night for what? An image to uphold for the government?

 

Those cops wouldnt have given 2 shits about touching or feeling up people on that night, they had her permission. As if they care about some person out to have fun.

The idea of dogs and police swarming over nightclubs and down places like oxford st in syd really turns me off going out anymore, im not really keen to get sniffed and searched at all, especially in the middle of a night out..

Hi all,

they've just started doing this in the UK.It makes you fucking sick does'nt it? there's us peaceable peeps minding our own,not fucked up on grog as you guys call it,and we become victims of what is purely a police pr exercise.Waste of time and money.

 

We have a terrible binge drinking culture in the UK and police time would be better spent trying to control the fallout after last orders when everyone hits the street than this pathetic pr hand job.
