Small Oscillating fan source needed

Recommended Posts

I know that not all of us have the space in our grow room to slap in a normal household oscillating fan so someone out there must have found a smaller version to use then the average sized one and maybe they could share there success.

Im looking for roughly a 20 cm diamater fan to fit within my cupboard that moves on its own from side to side. I have one but it is a stationary one and i have to move it each day to make sure all my plants get some breeze.

I combated this before with the use of a 555 timer switching 12v fans but the circut has failed after 3 yrs and i couldnt be bothered rebuilding or repairing it as the circut plan was on overgrow and im a lazy shit at heart.

Just search for a 'desk fan' on ebay or somewhere, they usually come in about 150 - 200mm diameter and most are oscillating. Cost anywhere between $10 - $30. I have one of them, it sits in front of my wardrobe blowing across the plants, seems to work ok ;)

Had it going now 24hrs a day, for the last 2 months :toke: Not a rattle or squeak or anything in it yet

Hope this is what ya meant lol

Go Lo dont have them

Bunnings last time i went there and got lost said they only had normal sized ones as it was winter summer soon but!

Jaycar dont stock anything close

Altronics also dont

Tandies and dick smiths sux these days with there range and prices

Ive checked all bigws and hardware stores in my local area and also all automotive places for a dash board fan as a 12v power supply would be easy to construct but no one has one below the standard house size and the dashboard ones are static.

Yeh im lazy i admit it thus the search so far has exhausted me !!!

Hydro shops i refuse for the markup factor on things like a simple fan (the only thing i get from them is nutrients everything else i source from other shops)

Thanks for the advice and damm man that is a hell list of contacts!!!!

All those hydro shops should be contacted to see if they want a to be a rep on our forums they could get a fair bit of business from us if they are willing to chat and become well known

any pics or model numbers of ones you have would help me google a source for now im looking for heater type blowers that oscillate i can easily keep the heat off
