Very interesting. I have a few that are flat almost like you describe. There are clones of same kind not displaying this odditty.

Very flat close to top. And a very odd display of branching off of main stem not so much a branch but a split of the main.

I am Very Very impressed at the vigorous growth unfolding(unlike I am used to). All seem to be healthy despite these strange flat stems.

I am looking for answers but looks rare. I have more info and want to understand better. This might be a Good Thing.

Personally I would take a bunch of clones of this anomoly and see what happens, you could be onto something good.

Can't hurt to see how a few generations work out. And vigorous growth is always a plus in a plant.
