Variegated Plants

Variegation is a common genetic anomaly that shows up in many species, but I've never actually seen it in cannabis before. Whether it's an improvement is debatable, as it could mean less chlorophyll and therefore need more leaf to produce the same amount of sugars for the plant.

But yeah, I'll be really interested to see if anyone has any pics of variegated weed. There are many, many genetic variations in cannabis, some beneficial, some not, but that's about the only one which is common in many other species that I've never seen in MJ.

Is it at all possible the plants may have been affected by something which caused the physical appearance of variegation rather than being genetic? Virus can cause streaks, but this is usually necrotic rather than chlorotic in nature. It could also be caused by herbicide drift....

:) The strain I've recently been told rob was suposedly skunk #1. which from they way they grew they might have been. The buds I bought were all seed :) but they smoked up nice so I bought an oz for the seeds.

I found this pic on another site but can't remember where now. It is a variagated plant but different to the ones I grew. They had patches of white, green and mottled green and white all over the leaves.
