hydro Systems

Recommended Posts

Hey all, just signed onto the site and need a little help with selecting a system to puschase.

Ive had a look at my local hydro store and dont mind the EUROGROW sets by Gen Hydroponics. or their

rainforest set with unique vortec multi nitrient/watering system.

my options are not spending the odd 500-600 on these systems and going for a flood and drain method. for

which could be good either way. my help being are these systems good for me or is there any other

websites or places I should take a look at.

Cheers

Have a look at a few of the growdiaries here and you'll get some good ideas about what kind of hydro systems people use, and you'll be able to ask questions of the growers as to regular maintenance and what they're using, etc...

Any hydro system can be used really, but there are techniques to managing each of them to get the best results. The principles are the same but the actual method can vary quite a bit.

But yeah, have a look around the boards. You'll probably find that a lot of hydro systems aren't store bought kits but home made and modified systems. Get a good working knowledge of the principles behind hydro of various kinds, and you'll find most of that information here, and you're already most of the way to growing your own of excellent quality. :peace:

temps for the res need to be around 25\26 max.... but can move either way without too much hassle , last grow i got away with freezing 3l milk containers and dropping that in the res about 1 hour before the evening feed , hottest part of the day , the morning temps seem to control themselves . ...

i'm putting 2 buckets together today hopefully , so i 'll show you how they run .

ev :)

hey there cloud9

there are so many differant ways to grow indoors atm and it really depends on which way u want to go and how much room you have at your disposel as luke said have a really good look around the grow dairy's section as almost ever grow dairy has a differant set up and alot of them are home made and very cheap and easy to run

i would try and go the home made option it will cost ya heaps less and most of the stuff ya need to build is at ya local hard ware store ya just gotta know what ya need
