Just something I thought would be interesting to do, and potentially informative to the uninformed (me)...

 

If you had a $300 budget specifically for a hydro setup in which you wanted to grow only 1-2 plants at any given time, a system that you could keep indoors, with decent ventillation as part of the package...what would you do?

 

Would this be a start, just enough, more than enough, what?

I invite you to discuss any ideas, even draw something up...who knows, if your shits good enough, might even commission you to make one for me.

i would start off by going into st vincent de paul and getting some cheap or even free wardrobes if you cry poor enough...once you have 2 wardrobes, rip the backs off, put them back to back and there is your grow room

 

next thing i would do is go into a few pawn shops and look on ebay for some second hand HPS lights. you should be able to pick up a second hand hps light for around $120, but you should replace the globe which will set you back another $40-50 depending on the brand. all you need then is pots, medium and a fan which can all be purchased from places like big-w

 

if you spend your money wisely, i see no reason for $300 you couldnt get a ghetto indoor system setup which could yield anywhere between a half to a full pound every 2-3 months

its possible but I think a more realistic budget is closer to $1000 than $300.

 

but you don't need us to tell you how much it will cost. just make a list of all the shit you need and see how cheap you can get it and theres your answer.

Depends on how you do it.

Pipeman is right if you want good stuff your going to pay over a grand for the shit you need.

 

But you can do it alot cheaper, than that if your willing to run second hand stuff.

My first ever grow cost me about $280 I had a inbuilt cupboard = $0 ,, some plants in some pots in some soil =$0 Light =$260 , Nutrients =$20 Then I built from there .

My first closet grow cost me about $600 and my latest I don't even want to think about the $ that's gone into it, one thing remains true you want fantastic results be prepared to spend the $$$$. Good news is 90% of it is a one off cost that will soon be made back after a harvest or 2, even if you don't sell a single bud you shouldn't need to buy any again either

and that is what im still using has been upgraded a fair bit now but i still use it and have made another one as well now im running 2 exactly the same

 

so ya can go 2 ways to begin with start cheap and upgrade or spend ya cash up front then reap the rewards
