What I'm considering...

The one up the top, I think.

Only to grow say 1-2 plants every now and then, and tomatoes the rest of the time.

So...I know little about the hydro growing thing, I've not as yet experimented with anything past sun-growing some plants I had in hydro stones, ages ago.

Can anyone tell me if this particular system looks to be good?

I don't want too much an obvious drain on the power...I mean, I don't mind waiting a little longer for the plants to reach maturity, but essentially I'd be looking for nice chunky yeild.

I know it looks pretty, but the specs mean nothing to me.

Any growth stuff youd suggest I use in conjunction?

Any advice, or thoughts on this particular product would be good. Thanks y'all.

Personally I think they are overpriced garbage, I'm assuming it's US$ and it doesn't appear to be in any way lightproof so you'd have too wrap it in panda film to make it so. Also you are growing from flouro's, not an efficient method especially when you're talking the $$$ they are asking.

For around the same price you could get a homebox http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...N%3AIT&rd=1

A 600W HPS + your hydro system be it hand watered or drip coco, F&D, DWC etc. You'd have a much better and more versitile system and more than likely come away with change.

Well, I know fuck-all about it, but the one I was thinking about at least LOOKS pretty decent I thought, I mean they couldn't exactly sell it for that price if it was completely shithouse...?

The thing you showed me on ebay looks alright...but I really don't know how to use this kinda stuff, and I gotta say it looks a little big...

hey there cheeba

although looking good and being high priced the one you are thinking of is really just not what you are after if you want something that you will get a decent yeild out of.

if ya looking at spending that sort of money i would go that 420downunder showed ya together with a 400w hps or hey man just go down to vinnies or salvo's get a cheap wardrobe ($50) and a second hand 400w hps ($100-$120) and paint the inside of it white ($20) and get some good soil and some pots ($20) and there ya have a heaps better set up than the one you looking at and it will yeild alot more from ya erb and toms and all it cost ya was just over $200

thats what i would do anyway cause thats what i grow in atm and have no trouble fitting 3 plants in there and the yeaild is about 5-6 oz each grow and getting better everytime

hope this helps ya out

Hey cheebs as stoney said, you wuold be a lot better off getting a 400w light a 2nd hand robe and growing and just using potting mix and you will do a lot better than what u are looking at.

All i use is a 2 door robe with a 400 watt light and from my last grow from 2 plants i got close to 8 ouncers and i think i could do even better than 8 ouncers from 2 plants once i get the style of DWC down pat.

But for a 1st timer like u there very easy ways of doing an indoors grow, from a soil grow to a very easy hyrdo setup...
