I have a Eutech pH scan 2. Good unit. I have a pH scan 1 as a backup and also always make sure I have a liquid tester by flairform.

The Bluelab units look great, and the only thing they're really lacking is price competitiveness. That said, with a 1yr probe warranty and 3yrs on the unit itself, it's hard to go past it for reliability. Would love to have one of those one day.

hi two time the ec/ph meter you speak of is/ does it monitor levels 24/7 or do you actually dip and test. Alittle while back ithink it was blue lab had a meter that does both staying in res all the time and reads out changes as they happen. later connected to PC for peaks and troughs.

iM sure you will be happy downunder, which ones where troublesome ive had no probs with the growth tech ones at $100. Ph can be stuborn needs a good wetting then a good flick calibrated weekly or before use.

EC no probs at all never tested bad when calibrating. thought id add buth meters are over 5 years old now so wont belong until i upgrade the PH in five years ive only regeled and probe cleaned once. Keep PH pen moist with cotton wool in cap maby alittle probe cleaner also.
