Five to face court

Recommended Posts

FIVE of fourteen people charged during a series of drug raids on houses in the NSW Hunter Region will face court today.

The raids yesterday were by officers attached to Strike Force Islander, which was set up in January to investigate the supply of methylamphetamine and cannabis.

Officers attached to Strike Force Islander yesterday carried out a vehicle stop in Medowie Street at Williamtown in the Lower Hunter area, north of Newcastle, police said.

As a result of the operation, two men were arrested.

Officers then executed search warrants on six houses in Medowie, Tomago, Maryland and Woodberry.

During the raids they seized 785 grams of methylamphetamine with an estimated street value of $150,000, 2000 grams of cannabis with an estimated street value of $12,000 and six large hydroponic cannabis plants with an estimated value of $30,000.

Police also seized cash, vehicles, electrical items and financial documents.

Three men and two women will today face Raymond Terrace Court charged with various offences.

They include a 36-year-old Medowie man who is facing 11 counts of supplying a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited drug and supplying a prohibited drug not less than large commercial quantity.

The other nine people will appear in Raymond Terrace or Wallsend Local Courts at a later date.

That equates to around 20 oz per plant (working on $250 per oz), "large" doesn't begin to cover that. lol

Yeah I agree. But I always say, everything in moderation.

Meth more than once a month on a weekend IMHO is no good. Any more than that and you will find yourself hooked and it will mess with your head (psychosis) and fuck your life.
