$1m in hydroponic cannabis seized

MORE than $1 million worth of hydroponic cannabis has been seized after two houses were raided in Sydney's south-west.

 

Officers attached to the Wetherill Park Target Action Group, formed as part of a crackdown on hydroponic cannabis, raided the two empty houses at Smithfield Road in Greenfield Park about 11.30am (AEST) today, police said.

 

They discovered elaborate hydroponics set-ups consisting of more than 360 cannabis plants, along with a large quantity of processed cannabis, which were seized by police.

 

Inquiries are continuing.
