Cloning....

hi fellow stoners

 

a quick question?

 

do you have to take clones from your mother plant or are you able to clone you clones and get the same results??????

cloning the clones is fine if you are growing the same strain back to back you don't need a mother plant as long as everything stays healthy. If you find a really nice strain though you might want to keep a small mum as insurance...

yep u can take a clone from a mother or from a clone basicly just take a cutting from what you are growing and them use that

 

i have 6 clones going in for this grow and they were all taken from the plants that i am flowering at the moment

 

but i also have 2 new seedlings growing under fluros that will be hopefully mother plants and will use those to clone new plants for the next grow

Provided good health is maintained it's theoretically possible to maintain an only female line by cloning many generations after one another. There is such a thing as line degeneration if it's caused by adverse conditions, and it can also be prevented by keeping a good set of mothers which are renewed every 6-12 months or so to prevent decline in the rootstock and thus decline in the vigour of the cuttings taken from them.
