I havent used hydroponic nute on it just miricle -gro at the reccomended rate .Its about 10 inches under a 1000 watter on a heat pad .The roots are nice white and healthy looking , COuld it be too wet ?

I just put a fan blowing on it gently Do u think this could be the problem.

Welcome to OSA eternity

If I was you, I'd get rid of the cheap potting mix and buy some 5 or 6 part premium potting mix. Go to Kmart or your local gardening supply store, $20 will cover it.

If you get the premium potting mix over normal mix, you will never look back I promise you.

I have read somewhere on the OSA forums that miracle grow is actually bad for marijuana. I can't remember the exact reason atm, i'm sorry, but I do remember that at the time I was using it myself and discontinued use of it because of what I had read.

Sounds like you have alot of nutrient deficiency with the black and yellow leaves. The 5 part soil will have alot of nutrients in it already, so as wantdachronic has said already, I would only put 1/4 or 1/2 strength hydro nutrients but not for the first couple of days at least.

The fan could stress it if it is already in bad health but in normal conditions I would say a fan is a good thing. I've read that when MJ is stressed it can make for a stronger plant and cause a growth spurt but if I were you I would let it regain it's strength first. Your choice though.

That's all from me

EDIT: I just noticed you said it's on a heat pad. Take it off the heat pad ASAP, a hot root zone is very bad. You want your roots to be kept cool.

Thanks fellas I normally grow in clay balls but I started these all off in pots and mix just to sex them and was cgoing to clone the styrongest .

I have just flushed with 6.3 straight water and put a couple of mls hydrogen peroxide in for good measure I think I will wait a few days and then start with 1/4 strength nute.

sounds like nute lockout/burn to me, which may have been brought about by a PH problem. You realise that the PH for soil is higher than hydro right? A lot of the commercially available potting mixes are too alkaline for MJ.

Also how often are you feeding it? In most situations you shouldn't be giving soil plants nutes with every watering.

I'd also suggest you take a sample of the potting mix and get its PH tested at a nursery (most of them do it for free) or buy a soil PH test kit they only cost a few dollars.

And yeah, conventional nutes often don't provide the best results for MJ. Flush the thing now and check the PH of your soil would be my advice. And I would only be giving a soil mother nutes with every third watering or so.

If you want an easy system to keep a mother why not try coco in a hand watered pot. Its basically the same as soil except you're using nutes specifically designed for mj.

And also take some cuts as wtd said even if this plant dies all may not be lost.

1000watts is an awefully big light for a mother, you planning on taking a couple hundred clones or what? :toke:
