really need a pic for a good diagnostic however I cna give it my best shot without seing it if you can answer a few questions ,

1) what medium is he/she using , as that sounds liek allot of watering

2) how long has this happened for ?... has it just been this once it has done it or does it keep bouncing back then drooping at the end of the light cycle ?

3) is he feeding in the dark period

4) is there any discolouration on the leafs ?

sounds to me like he is over feeding but answer those questions and I will be able to assist allot more , one thing I can say with a fair bit of certainty is that it isn't the cold weather , if it's just been a one time thing I would also be checkign my pump and timer ;)

If your plants have lifted leaves under the light and dropping leaves during dark, you may have a too big of a temperature difference.

You should keep your day and night temps no more than 6/7 degrees apart.

Don't let your room drop below 15 degrees unless you are in the last week of flower, which in that case can promote extra resin production.

That's way too much, the max you should be watering is 15 min every 3 hours with clay balls and a bit less if using other medias that withhold moisture for longer than the balls, there could be a few other reasons for the droop too so it would be much better if you could post a few pictures, we can see a lot more that way.

I definately do not agree with this, mine are fed 15 minutes evry 2 hours (lights on only) plants are in perlite only and I have no problems associated with this.

There are many factors associated with nutrient watering times. I would say 15mins every two hours is a little on the frequent side, but it does depend greatly on the room temp, size of plants, drainage, e.c. of the irrigation, and the actual method of water delivery. Something like a horseshoe with 50+ watering points would be able to put out spastic amounts of water in 15mins, whereas a 4mm or 6mm watering ring with only 4 outlets would be okay. It also depends on the size of the pump too, a smaller pump could be quite comfortable with a 15min watering time, whereas a larger one may be quite capable of doing the job in less.

It's usually better to underwater plants than overwater them, but clay balls are a particularly well draining media. These could certainly go okay with a 15min/2hr watering cycle, but we do need to know more about the system. A picture of the plant, with as much info as possible about the system and variables like the temps, airflow, nutrient ec and pH and so on would be the most helpful thing.

In the end, there is no "best" watering duration and frequency. It all comes down to the environment and the plants.

just to add to what luke said it also depends on the age/development of the plant. i use rockwool slabs and when there transplanted from clones to the slabs i feed 1min every 4hrs (which gives each slab 1lt of feed solution). then after 3 weeks i increase that to 5min every 4 hours (so they get 5lts per feed). i continue that all the way to flower. when there in flower i have tried both 10mins every 2hrs (which is 10lts) and 15mins every 3hrs (which is 15lts). both worked fine with no ill effects.

a couple of tips is make sure the last feed ends at least 2hrs before lights out.

secondly dont underfeed too much (especially with rockwool) as your EC and ph will vary greatly between the slab vs the reservoir and then you will have compounded problems. make sure you check the runoff to get the balance right
