cloning.

hey guys/gals.

awesome site! just a quick question....can i take clone cuttings off a plant thats gone into flowering?

i've read how the cells of the plant change during the flowering cycle and just wondering if taking clones, meaning that the cuttings would be in the flowering cycle and having to revert back to veg cycle, would that cause the cloned plant to be mutant and not usable.

cheers.

p.s. anyone know what happened to planet skunk's web site??

clones can be taken well into flowering, but its best to get the lower branches as they usually have fuck all bud on them compared to the branches higher up....the plant will grow weird for a bit, ie. reverting back to single blade leaves, etc. but after a bit the plant will grow like crazy, up the amount of blades per leaf and grow like normal

oh and PS is down due to them moving the server, should be back up in a few days B)

hey there mate welcome to the site

and yes you can take clones in flower but they will take longer to root and as wdc said will look abit weird for awhile. I have taken clones off my ice and rhino plants when they were about 18 days into flower maybe longer and they are doing fine no roots to speak of yet but it only been under a week.

so if ya wanna keep an eye on mine have a look at my grow dairy "stoney and the bean stalk"

all the advice i can give ya is make sure that you put them under 24hr lights and put them in a humitidty crib and keep them warm

hope this helps lad have a good 1

ps i chose to take larger clones than i usually would hopefully to help them stay alive and i took them from the bottom of the plant as these usually produce fuck all bud anyway and i only end up bubbling the pop corn anyway

cheerz
