Chrissy-Poos Pain-in-the-Arse is a self-righteous, authoritarian, fraudulent, little toad (just in case you haven't figured that out already). Anyone who plays fast and loose with science in this manner, particularly in the service of a nasty, self-serving and very dishonest morality-play, deserves nothing but long and loud public ridicule and contempt. So keep it up, folks.

 

There is an excellent science based article about this very problem in the current issue (Aug/Sep) of Cosmos magazine, and the government doesn't come out of it looking good.
