Cannabis seized in Operation Hold

Recommended Posts

Glen Waverley Regional Response Unit investigators executed three simultaneous drug warrants this morning in Blackburn, Box Hill and Nunawading.

Assisted by Glen Waverley Embona, Croydon and Greensborough regional response units and the Dog Squad, nearly $1million worth of cannabis was seized.

The dawn raids on residential homes ended a three-month operation and unveiled elaborate and sophisticated cannabis crops.

A 44-year-old Blackburn South man and a 46-year-old Box Hill man are assisting police with their inquiries.

As part of Operation Hold, a 40-year-old Clayton man will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 20 June after cannabis valued at almost $500,000 was seized in a drug raid in Clayton on 23 March.
