Hi Guys & Gals sorry it's been a long time between post's. Yeah SWC means shallow water culture.

 

I moved my header tanks inside above my grow box and with the increased gravity it really farked up my gravity feed idea. The pressure was enough to suck the sides and top of a 25lt jerry can in so much it deformed the bottle and the water kept flowing

 

So seeing as i had already cut all the holes in my res I had to look for another solution with some kind of micro ballcock valve. After hours and hours of searching the net I came up with some 12v electric solenoid valves and a float switch $300 later it works mint

 

So check out my new pictures and ask any questions I believe this is the only system like this posted on the net. It really proves anything is possible, my mates laughed when I told them I was building a hydro system with a 10lt res that I wont have to fill up every 12 hours

 

P.S Planet Skunk have let me down I paid for an order on the 10th as they would not accept a NZ creditcard and after 2 weeks the Western Union money transfer had not been collected so I sent them a reminder they picked it up and then a week later sent me an email saying they had lost my order and were asking for my shipping address. So I guess that means I will not be getting free beans as they have run out now and my flash cabinet will sit empty until they arrive.

So there you have it 1 SWC cabinet with 250w hps running at about 27deg with 900mm of height and the res should last about a week, so I can grow hydro in my micro box and still have a life

 

When my seeds arrive I will start a grow thread and link it to this one, I will need lots of help with what strenght nutes to put in the res and header tank. It will take a bit of trial and error, and I hope to get some help from all you expert hydro growers out there

Thanks Someone, the greenery is coming I hope I should have just ordered my beans from Nirvana last time they arrived in 10days, I havn't had a good first experience with Planet Skunk
