fireforadrymouth
I've done a bit of trolling through these forums in my time and couldn't find an answer to my latest stone-inspired quest. I'm after a new bowl (or two) and started wondering if the material would make much difference (other than how easily I break it smashed). I remember a Canadian telling me they only keep weed in paper bags to keep "more crystals" so would, say wood be more of a bitch after a while? I've found a few square-bottom bowls that I'm taking a liking to.. Suggestions? Experiences? ps ( I've used newspaper but I'm moving up in the world, kk?) stonedstump
I have a nice coloured round glass bowl. I got it for 50c from an op shop. It has a sort of wavey pattern to the way its made, hard to explain but it's nice and real smooth in the inside. Wooden bowls are nice too but they break the resin off and it gets stuck in the wood which builds up over time. Metal bowls I have never tried but you can small metal bowls from k-mart. Plastic bowls are okay but the resin builds up in them too over time too so it's best to give it a wipe with a damp cloth occasionally. With plastic if you can find a smooth plastic finish they are good but once you start getting little scratches in there for whatever reason resin will build up quicker. I think I might buy a metal bowl just to try it now come to think of it.
fireforadrymouth
Just recently I saw a great (not that) little metal stash tin made by easyleaf. With the lid off looked like a nice bowl indeed. I like wood but I think I'll go for something more durable.

AndyAmine
I like to use a glass bowl because after a few months the resin builds up on the bottom and sides, so in a pinch you can give it a good scrape for some hash. I havent scapped mine in about 2years so its getting pretty sticky... hmmm.. Its usualy got a fair bit of finger dirt in it but it smokes up well. Same goes for the coffee grinder if you use one Edited May 4, 2006 by AndyAmine
raverspec
Coffee grinder "yellow space dust" has to be one of the most potent and deadly smokes ever. I love and hate it in equal measures. As for bowls, whatever is closest at the time. For the past few months I have been using a wide plastic one with low sides from a picnic set we were given (that we will never use). HighRising
I have this awesome chop bowl made out of stainless steel that I bought from woolies for about $1.50, it has a real fat base and is a perfect shape to chop up in without too much overflow, and the smooth, wide bowl is great for scooping every last crumb out. Dropped it a heap of times, taken it camping, it's indestructible! The tag said 'desert bowl' but I saw through the ruse
