changing colors?

I was talking to some friends the other day. they were talking about if you put food coloring in the water the plant would change colors. i was thinking it might hurt in some way or something. so could yall tell what yall think of this or what it might do to the plant or what?

I'm not an expert, but I would say no.

 

Plants are green from photosynthesis so I don't think it would change colour, maybe the roots will be dyed red/blue/green etc..?

Keep them away from your plants.

the veins of the plant would go colourd yes however this is not what you want for a healthy growing plant , don't use food colours ect ever in your grows

 

I say it will work because it's an experiment that i think every science teacher does with their students to show them HOW a plant uptakes it's food , in that respect it is a fantasic lesson learner for kids , but it is no good for us

it could work.... have you ever seen those carnations that are white with blues or white with red vains in the petals.. I think the ad food colouring to cut flower and with in a few hours it sucks the colour to the petals....

I am not really sure if it would work with pot, or just adding it to the tank.. Id be lying if I said I havent thought of it....cause I have... be a good experiment to try... but really.. if you dont want to run the risk of ruining your harvest.. I probably wouldnt bother.... but if ya do, post up some pics..

Yea, the flowers will change colour I think. but then your smoking food colouring and you dont want to know what that shit is made from.
