Auto Pot Heads

Hey all

Not seen anyone Using this system around?

Ive been a fan of the Autopotting method since a good friend introduced me to its simple but amazingly high yeilding systems.

got a few pics from my recent Nl9 grow (sensi mother plant) so all F1 clones :peace: Solid Genetics rock.....

So if anyone doesnt know how ze ottos work its simple ,, Coco/ perlite /clay pebbles / organic soils mix in the pots themselves, then the trays they sit in ,, flood and drain as the plant drinks the nutrient solotion. Simple effective and foolproof  .

I use a Coco/ Perlite mix with Canna Coco and Canna Coco Nutrients A+B (same nutrients all the way:):peace:)

I also use Guardian Angel once during the cycle just as the pots go full auto (no point having a tray full of nutes if the rootball isnt to the bottom of the pot, We call it chasing) and rhizotonic (which is a superb product) and Maxicrop (as a foliar feed).Enjoy Guys/Gurls:)

Peace

Uri

Can't wait to see your Auto-pot setup in full bloom I've run the single 12" 330mm pot setups with coco before with great results everytime and I'll swear by them too the only fault I've found with them though is they can tend to be too easily blocked at the valve... Have any of your crew suffered the same problem & solved it?

I remember those auto pots. They were around yrs ago. Back in 96 they were in a lot of shops. Thought they vanished. I had one set up in my back yard and my plants went boonta. Huge fukrs. Then the next door neighbors ripped them. Great system. Very simple. Supply on demand kinda feeding using only gravity. One way to stop the valve or hoses gettn shit in them is to put a sponge as a filter in front of it. Nice one m8 :peace: Edited by BentBuddha

Well to continue,, This is the gurls at day 35ish,, 1/2 way some may say,, although I tend to go on trich colour rather than a date.

I should also add I fimm my ladies at 5 nodes or 6 Ins as I have feck all headspace

They have just started peeping a little touch of nute burn, :peace: , but ive been bloody hard on em the last 3 weeks,, gradually raising it up to about 2.6 ec with the ph quite low at 5.5 ish but they are big and very strong so hopefully Ive not set myself back too much there. :peace:

My 600watt ballast went kapoop last night too,, so Ive lost half my lumens :peace: My knight in shining GLC stylee armour should be here tommorow night with my replacement plus another 600wtts :crybaby: as Im sure they aint getting enought light coverage with what was in there.

Hi Uriel, I use Coco indoors hand water/feed. Coco is abosolutely fantastic. I have just picked up 'hydritron' (clay balls) which assist with bottom drainage.

In Oz I thinkk were are blessed with Canna products. You see Oz is used by Canna as a market research testing ground for there new products. Then they are released in a 'world role-out'.

I've ben following Canna Coco speific nute range for a long time now (3-4 yrs) and apart from the fact that the range has expanded to include specific nutes for spcific mediums. Specific Coco mediums I know of include 'Coco Chior' (bagged), 'Coco Bricks' (hydro blocks) & Coco chips (thich chunks). I use all except for the 'Coco bricks'.

Uriel ... I use a Coco/ Perlite mix with Canna Coco and Canna Coco Nutrients A+B (same nutrients all the way:))

I take it you use Coco A & B for the entire grow - both Veg & Flower. I take it your using a single nutrient (Coco A & :crybaby: for both stages (veg & Flower) of a grow. Just upping the streanth (EC) - double :peace:

Now to the point I wish to ask of a fellow Coco grower. I use a 2 part (Part A & :xcited: Coco spcific nute (COGr - Flores) for 12/12 & Coco A & B - Veg for 18/6. I swaped to the COGr - Flores 2 years ago with good results. the reason was

1) You use 1/2 the nutrient to achieve PH (COGr is 'buffered' PH = 5.8)

2) You use 1/2 the nutrient to achieve EC (streanth)

Simply this saves nutrients ($) and produces the Coco quality buds I like :peace:

some info on the COGr - Flores range

CANNA COGr

Nutrient solution and medium for growing in unbuffered coco substrate, including all products required for growing in the COGr medium. This medium is environmentally friendly and is suitable to be used several times. Different fertilisers have been developed to meet the specific needs of the various phases of the growth process.

Lable Info is :

Doseage - by graph EC of 2.0 corresponds to 6ml per lt of water. I kknow that some people report this is slightly over doing it and may need less but I hace an EC meter (Truncheon) & PH meter to aid me

Nut info :

N(NH4) .......... 0,0%

N(NO3) .......... 3,4%

P205 ......... 2,7%

K20 .......... 5,9%

CaO ......... 3,5%

MgO ........... 1,5%

SO3 ........... 3,0%

B ........... 0,007%

Cu ........... 0,001%

Fe ........... 0,028%

Mn ........... 0,014%

Mo ........... 0,002%

Zn ........... 0,007%

Si ........... 0,35%

Fluvic acid ..... 0,13%

Humic acid ..... 0,13%

I have grown many rounds in Coco as opposed to Slabs. Many of the nutrients produced by Canna are 'interchangeable' providing your using the correct stage product (Veg, Flores, root/jong plant.)

The added 'Silica' and 'humic acids' is a bennifit and means you don't need to include these 'extras' as your mix (COGr- Flores).

They have just started peeping a little touch of nute burn, , but ive been bloody hard on em the last 3 weeks,, gradually raising it up to about 2.6 ec with the ph quite low at 5.5 ish but they are big and very strong so hopefully Ive not set myself back too much there.

Good luck - I use an EC of max = 2.0 & ph 5.8 (12/12) - 6.2 (18/6)

"go easy on them" and good luck :peace:

Thanks for the advice Nitram,, I noticed the edges of the leaves starting to 'Rizla' and got em on ph'd water immediately,, Ive taken other strains as high as 2.6 before but never the NL9,,

I use Silica and Rhizotonic as addons.

IM going to try some Bcuzz Organic coco nutes next run in the autopots,, Half organic half chemical and Vs an aeroponic cloner that Im going to use as a bubbler/ aeroponic chamber..
