HELP! What am I doing wrong

Recommended Posts

looks to me like the plant is rootbound and could use a transplant into a much larger pot...i dont think its a nute problem as the top of the plant still looks fairly healthy + my plants do the same thing once rootbound lol

Hmm maybe, but I still disagree with your root bound theories. I have 2 mother plants that have been root bound for about a year now and are perfectly healthy. I'll take a pic for you tonight if you like...

i would have to agree with wdc it ooks like the start of being root bound my last mother looked like that towards the end.

what size pot u in and what ppm do u feed at and also what ph is your water and what nutrience do you use answer these and it will help us find ya problem.

but it wouldn't hurt in the mea time to transfer to a bigger pot it will help if gettin root bound and if its not it aint gonna harm it so i'd repot just incase

good luck lol

well from my experiences of growing mj, when a plant gets rootbound, the lower growth starting with the shade leaves dies off from the bottom up...the more rootbound the plant, the faster the problem spreads lol

Absolute nonsense. lol

It does not matter if the plant is MJ or not. You can still have a perfectly healthy root bound plant.

That plant is either:

a: Receiving too much of something

or

b: Not enough of something

Exactly the same would apply to why your mother plants got sick, died, or whatever. I understand that you may have made an observation of a sick plant, and noticed it was root bound, and assumed that was the reason, but it wasn't.

This is my root bound mother plant, as healthy as it gets.

Even though I'm a newb, I'd have to agree with flipster. I transplanted one of my plants last week. I had two growing in one pot. When I dug the plant out there weren't enough roots for the two plants in the one pot to be root bound. When I transplant next week I'll take some photos of the roots.

If it's to much or not enough, what do i do?. I'm thinking it's not enough because the smaller plants leaves arn't burnt just pale. So I think it's N def. I'm gonna transplant into coco and give them 1/4 strength Thrive and see what happens. If it gets worse, it's nute burn. If it shows no or little improvment I'll assume N Def and step the Thrive upto 1/2.
