See the first pic I posted at the start of the thread? At the bottom of the stem you can see a white bit. That’s a root mate

 

At about day 7 you should see lots of roots. The plants will be hungry so at that point you could change the water and even add a weak nute mix. Keep it under 1200ppm for a few days. Now your cloner is a mini bubbler.

 

No need to light proof or even worry about algae. Unless you put the cloner/bubbler under HID lights. Then light proofing is recommended.

 

Here is a pic from day 4. The white bit that looks like a root is actually 3 separate roots clumped together.

Nothing to dance about IMO. im not knocking other peoples methods. They do work just as well but this way will save you a shitload of cash.
