Was looking through the forums and realised ive never come across anything about spots in here.........Wondering how many of u's have them (came across quite a few people lately who have no idea how to have them) and if u got any ideas on how to figer out how to make the smoke from them a bit smoother (other then useing the giant contraption my mate made)

Spots are big in NZ not alfl THAT popular here , those that do it oten call it Hotknifing or If the slang word has gotten to them , Spots ,

 

My first sugestion about lessening the harshness would tie into what you spot with , Personaly I think the best results are achived with glass , not alloy knifes and how do you heat yout knifes ? the reason I ask is because you can get them too hot which leads to hotter ( harsher) smoke

Yea red hot knives can make it pritty brutal. we useuly try not too get them overly hot aye. Just heat them on an element or gas cooker. Still cant believe so many people havent tryd this, it gets u the most wasted out of any way to smoke weed

Ive found nothing wrong with hot knifing spots on the stove ...never found it that harsh to inhale .....but like you said "it gets you the most wasted out of any way to smoke weed"...i could'nt agree more

Most times it isnt overly harsh but i figered if theres a way to make it easyer to have more then y not try

Can be 2 things where i come from- bud spots or oil spots

1) A bud spot is a small piece of bud rolled up. you heat up 2 knives and then gently touch the "spot" with one knife. it will stick to the knife. then sandwich the spot between the 2 knives underneath a funnel, such as bottle cut in half, and inhale.

2) An oil spot is a small amount of hash oil which is scooped up with a thin wire and burnt on one hot knife and inhaled through a piece of straw.

 

i have smoked marijuana in 9 countries and the strongest yet has been the "goldies" we used to spot in NZ. even better than the blonde hash in A'Dam. Gold oil is the first wash of heads and can be super strong depending on the quality of weed being rinsed.

after one particularly successful harvest a few years ago, me and a mate did a quick wash through 2pd of skunk bud, got 5 double O caps (bout 15-20 gms??) of almost purely clear oil -it tasted like you were chewing on a fresh bud and really knocked your socks off

would love to get some isopropyl and brew some more, anyone know where to get iso?

Well you said your in NZ?? yea?

 

Go to a home brrew shop and buy yourself a still for making home brew spirits.

Then use the alcohol from that to make your own base for making oil.

Or you could use the still itself to extract the essential oils.

Can also spot resin after u scrape it from a bong/pipe etc. tastes like shit but gets u stoned

Hey Ferengi, originally came from nz , oil is popular over there but havent had any in oz yet. i knew someone who used 98% wood grain alcohol and he used to get a nice taste from it but it took alot to make 10 or 20 litres of it. he used to get a bit of a hangover after a brew he reckoned! !
