100 watt?

hey fellahs , my seed has sprouted and has 4 leaves wewt!!!

 

i went to woolies and picked up a 23watt light but it puts out > 125watts

its still a 23w CF, the 125w part comes from comparing it to a normal house hold globe basically that light would make a good light for cloning, but if you must use CFs for growing, its best to pickup ALOT of them

it will grow a plant, but the plant will be an extremely slow grower, it will stretch like shit, etc. thats why i said use alot of them if you must us CFs for growing

I'm afraid so. Your new seedling will be striving for a healthy life with that globe. Do your plants a favour and pick up some blue fluros.

 

You could pick up a set of double 18" (36w) blue Agro's for $10 ea (2x$10=$20).

 

A fish tank cover/tube holders/balast thingy you could get for another $20, or less. Then you'll have everything you need to root clones or germ seelings with.

 

You plants will pay you back later.

well it was orginally an OUTDOOR grow, but today i went to woolies and i was like holly shit lights so i found the most wattage one and picked it up for $10, my seedling is only about a 2cm high at the most! and the light is very close to it, i dont see how it wont grow, coz outside its all dark and gloomy everyday? i dont understand.. :scratchchin:

Have a read through the indoor grow forums and you will come to understand why you will need much more light than that in just a couple of weeks or so, there are very good reasons for the amount of light and ventilation we use.

 

Forget all those stories your "expert mates" have been telling you about how to grow super mj too, they have probably never seen plants like you will see in those forums. Also, when you are growing quite a few of those “mates” will turn into spongers don’t tell anyone you grow and you won’t be supplying half the neighbourhood with free pot.
