signs of underwatering

Recommended Posts

hi does anyone have some pics or a resource of the signs of underwatering? i can find heaps on overwatering but not much on the other? apparently from what i have read the visual signs are quite similar (drooping leaves?)

another thing i read is that plants that are overwatered will droop at the tips of the leaves and the stems stay upright? but an underwatered plant will droop both leaves and stems?

thanks

basicly just leaf droopstems do droop but only if left too long without any water, in your set up its unlikely under water unless water isnt flowing over roots well. , under fed but pale looking leaves but hard to tell under hps,

Sorry no pics, plant doesnt look that different, 20 min after watering all is better. Heat stress gives a simular look so does low air lever in water/res mix.

overwatered plants look alive, but very, very upset about their situation....underwatered plants look dead as a door nail and its fairly easy to see the difference. over watered sorta makes the leaves look like fingers on a hand (curled down) but an underwatered plant looks limp, lifeless and there is usually no curling, the leaf just hangs down depressed and sad looking

thanks wantdachronic. well after first two days im pretty sure they were underwatered as the leaf was hanging. now after 4 days of increased watering there curled. so i will increase period b/w watering thanks. i also decreased the lights to 55 watt per sq ft. i think 90 watts per sq was a bit intense for em in veg!
