When To Start Furt?

Was thinking of using Miracle Grow as it's readilly available at my local garden centre. I live a long way from any Hydro places, so anything I can buy at the local garden centre saves me a long drive.

 

I've read that you're suppose to use half strength mix. But when to start and hpw often?

You dont need to give them anything until they drop their feeder leaves, You know the first leaves that are rounded.

 

THen it depends on the system, as gazza said Hydro or soil?

miracle grow is pretty crap, the best cheap shit nute i have used is called thrive, works fairly well for vege, not the best for flowering, but does the job :smoke

 

also, those nutes are meant for soil not hydro so just follow the directions

you will want to fert (weak) a little earlier than planed without nutrients in soil plant growth is greatly decreased and it wont give u any signs other than slow growth (ie no yellowing leaves etc..)

So start ferting now?. What are the best fert to buy for veg?. Was going to use monsta-bud and Devils blood I think it's called?, for flowering. But thats a while away, so I don't need to worry about that yet

Monsta bud has a veg part as well New Holland? I think I got some here.

 

But if you can't get to hydro shop and use soil, why not try a liquid fert to veg with. Look for good even NPK perhaps a bit more N. I use nitrosol. But theres many in the hardware stores and supermarkets, like charlie carp, powerfeed, the a dynamic lifter one etc.

 

Miracle gro is ok with the wetting agent in it. Saves on saturaid.

Bought some fert today. Got Thrive in granular form (desolves in water). The only liqued stuff they had was for Tomatos. Thrive looks like it's alot better tehn Miracle Grow. Thrive has 27% Nitrogen, Miricale Grow had only 8%. When should I start using this?.

 

Also came across some Multicrop Plant Starter, says on the front of the bottle it's good for feeder root development. Should I use this as well as Thrive?. You can read about it at there web site Multicrop Plant Starter
