ok, keep it symple mate,

go get Dutchmaster A+B grow and A+B flower... 50ml of each in 10 liters of water, it levels ph to 6.3 too, cant get any easier than that....

when you got to flower use OZITONIC MONSTA bud, theres 2 parts on for the first half of floweringand the other for the second half..

hydro is so easy mate, people have already done the research... use it.... things dont change, MJ will grow the same now as it always has done and will grow the same in 10 years time.....

in the 17-18 years Ive grown hydro.... nothing has changed....little better lights but they are still really the same and a little better nutes but really again, just the same....

Yeah, definitely get yourself some hydroponic nutrients, as the "20-20-20" fert you refer to is likely designed for soil use. The ratios you state are probably incorrect anyway, as they're usually ratios of the chemicals in molecular and not ionic form. Could be a lot different to that.

So yeah, get a good nutrient, (most brands are similar) and start fertilising from day one in hydroponics. Begin at a low rate, say 1/4 strength, and slowly build up over the next weeks until you see some tip burn on the leaves. This usually indicates you've gone a tad to far, and then you can back down to the rate you used before this.

Get yourself a truncheon or similar nutrient salt meter if you can, as this will make hydroponic gardening so much easier for you. It will mean you won't be guessing as to rates, and you should usually ignore what the nutrient bottles state as "full strength" because most base this on RO or absolutely pure water, which almost no-one has.

Hope that helps.

if you have access to rain water I suggest using that... RO water reads between 10- 30 ppm.... my rainwater reads at 30ppm....

obviously different rain water would have different levels but %150 better than using tap water.

Tap water has a lot of crap in it, chlorine, flouride..and altho the results will still be fine, it will be a hell of a lot better using rainwater....

sun light will disapate the chlorine and flouride........ apparently.. ive never tried... way too much hassle...

Nah, the chlorine is pretty much gone by the time it comes out of your tap and into your tank anyway, and really doesn't harm plants I've found. If anything it would actually act as a minor sterilant to your water and prevent pathogens from getting a foothold in your raw water, but you'd have to add to it with some more monochloramine like pythoff daily to keep it up. So in the end it makes little difference. The real culprits in tapwater are bicarbonates and sodium chloride. (the chlorine will dissapate, but the sodium doesn't....

I certainly agree with the rainwater though, if you can get it, use it. ;)

you want the easest and the cheapest to use is gh nutes us the lucas formula... its a add to formula and if you keep everything clean you will never have to chang out your water... use 8mls micro and 16mls floural per gallon... and when you have to add nutes use this formula

(what you want the ppm/what you have -1)X8Xhow many gallons... the formula is prity close to dead on as long as the ppms dont drop less than 800..... and it works awsome....
