Police said they seized half a kilogram of cannabis, worth $3000, about 100 grams of cocaine ($7500) and 50 ecstasy tablets ($1500) from the shop.

 

WTF? The pills are spot on, but where can I get coke for $75 a gram? That is bollocks. I think they meant $17,500 worth of charlie.

i reckon a part of it's got to do with tax...there is no way that they could control it and make money off it

 

take cigarettes for example...i've been to christmas island and a carton of winnie red costs $22.50 but if buy them in perth they are $77 give or take a dollar

 

same goes for alcohol

 

 

if it's legalised people will start growing their own all over the place so only a small amount of people or nobody would actually buy it anymore.

 

they rake in the dollars while people who haven't done anything wrong get lumped with heavy fines or a prison sentence
