Tri-state Teen Turns Parents In To Police

An Erlanger couple charged over the weekend for multiple drug and weapons charges have their son to thank for their arrest.

The Boone County sheriff's department says the 16-year-old son of John Williams, 51, and Jennifer Williams, 36, told a school resource officer about his parents' illegal activity.

The teenager allegedly told that officer he was fed up with his parents' pot-smoking lifestyle.

Out by the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport near an industrial park, Boone County authorities say there was also a little industry operating inside the Williams home on Mineola Pike.

On Friday afternoon sheriff's deputies raided the home based on the information provided by the Williams' son.

Inside police say they found 25-marijuana plants in addition to cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a weapons cache.

And because the teen reported there were weapons, the sheriff's department went in with their SWAT team.

While neighbors refused to go on camera saying they did not want to get involved, they did say the Williams kept to themselves.

The couple faces charges of cultivating marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They posted bond shortly after their arrest.

In addition to their 16-year-old, the couple has another son around 10-years-old.

Neighbors say while they've seen John Williams around the house, they haven't seen the boys for a few days.

Hey you never know, maybe he and his 10 year old brother were in constant fear, or abuse?

A couple of quotes from one of the other articles

"It also takes a lot of love. I don't think a child's first thought is that the parents may go to jail. The first thought is, 'They need help. We need help. I need help.' In the long run, they're looking out for their family's best interest."

"We could say he was mad at his mom and dad or we could say he didn't want his 10-year-old brother to live in that environment," he said.

The parents look real happy :;):

From the look of them they are on something a lot heavier than mj and I would guess that there is a bit more to it than the media is reporting, plus the parents are obviously dealing in chemicals as well as mj so it's entirely possible that the 16 year old has had the best interests of his little brother at heart.

If the parents are on what I suspect it is from the picture then their 16 year old may have done something that may just save their lives and give the 10 year old a chance at a real future, he may also have thought that anything he told the "school resource officer" was to be kept confidential.
