Guest Eikel
Hi there, Just a quick straight to the point question. Can you take a clone, put rooting hormone on it and put it straight into soil? thanksthatswho Quick answer - Yes. Long Answer - Yes, but.... humi-crib + moist conditions to start. Longer Answer - Water-cloning will give you faster rooting, it only takes 3 days to generate roots into the water, and it's better for transplanting to soil/coco than even rockwool clones. thatswho
yeah I thought so Eikel, thanks for that. going to go and take a cutting now. I brought some rooting hormone called 'Burnet's organic hormone rooting dip' so I'll see how it goes.
dsyfer
Just on the hormone thing, Has anyone tried the Dutch MASter Cloning Gel? It is meant to be not based on hormones like all the others From Dutch MasterPREVENTS THE #1 CAUSE OF CUTTING FAILUREAir bubbles often get trapped in the cut end of the stem preventing your newly taken cutting from taking up water - this often results in cutting death, not the result you want to see! The Dutch Master scientists responsible for Replicators development have solved this through our anti-wilt technology that is designed to draw those air bubblesfrom the end of your newly taken cuttings, restoring the water flow and your cuttings life! NON-HORMONE BASED FOR FASTER ROOTING!Everyone thinks for faster rooting you need strong powerful hormones - not so! Replicator usesnatural extracts from Coleoptiles of wheat & Zea Mays to provide a gentle root initiation that does not promote ethylene production. Most hormone based cutting gels make your delicat cuttings produce ethylene which actually inhibits new root growth, the very thing you want!Replicator on the other hand uses its gentle natural extracts to initiate root growth in a positive, effective and natural way. CREATES A PERFECT MICROCLIMATE!The specialized gel base of Replicator is also designed to provide the perfect microclimate for fast, effective and safe rooting. A perfect microclimate guarantees a better chance of success! Comments anyone?
Pure
I personaly use honey , it doesn't have the trace elements that the others do ( which are hardly needed at this stage ) but it does completely protect you from fungi / desiese problems which is the MAIN purpose of a gel substance I get a strike rate of over 90 % usign my method , which is what you should go for , anyone that claims a 100% strike rate everytime I tend to think of as full of it as mistakes happen and no-ones perfect ( or at least no closer to it than me ) he he he
