hey,

 

i got a few plants under a 400w in a cupboard, but theres 1 plant im mainly focusing on, because it looks the most promising.

 

its about 3.4-4ft tall, and stems coming off are about 30cm long.. whats the best way to grow it to maximise my bud ?

 

should i vegitate the plants a bit longer to make bigger stems etc..

 

ive heard of chopping the top growth of a stem at like 8 nodes ? to promote bigger/fatter stems or somthing ?

 

whats the best thing to do ? its currently in a 35ltr pot, and only feeding it nuts by water, ph adjusted of cause.

 

what other fertilisers should i buy ?

if you are after maximum bud production, switch to hydronics and you'll never look back

 

as for soil nutes, i havent a clue which to use, but 1/4 - 1/2 strength hydro nutes have worked well for me in the past when growing in soil...

lots of people will disagree with me about this, but i'd only cut the plant if you need cuttings, if you are just growing it out for buds, then some tying down is a better option....others will go on about FIMing your plants which is what you meant about getting 8 growing tips, but that technique must be either strain specific or my thousand attempts at it were all fucked, in any case i have never had any result other than cutting the entire grow tip off or having it grow back extremely slowly and then continuing like a normal plant

I always use "Bonza Bud" when, or just before, I've reached my desired height which stops the plant gaining length and causes energy to fatten it instead. I also always tie my plants down horizontally to maximize use of the artificial light.

The plant is a bit large for a cupboard grow, you can expect it to double its height during the first few weeks of flower, more if it is a Sativa dominant, I would either stick it outside to finish or top it and severely tie it down to about 3 feet tall.

Yeah a cupboard and a 400w is not the set-up for growing trees, only bushes.
